Julie Chen Moonves will host the summer hit reality series Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin the second season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator as well as host. The true passion of her life was writing. In fact, she was awarded an Emmy. She won another Emmy for her role as host of an exceptional entertainment talk show. From 2002 to the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and hosts for The Early Show. After the attacks of 9/11, she was sent to Cairo and found the hijacker's lead father for a riveting and eye-opening exclusive interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked alongside newsmakers including former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania and the former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She interviewed celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lopez. In her final academic year at the University, she served as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). It was her first time working in broadcasting, as a Desk Assistant on ABC News' late-night show Nightline With Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning special Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at those who were involved in the Los Angeles riots of '92.
